Making our first fragrance: Odette Eau de Parfum

Our first fragrance, Odette Eau de Parfum has been in the works since the Fall of 2017 when I first sat down with the sisters behind MCMC Fragrances; Anne Serrano-McClain and Katie McClain to start development on the scent that would eventually become Odette Eau de Parfum.

Odette New York and MCMC Fragrances shared a beautiful studio space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for nearly a decade and launching our scent is the perfect way to honor our many years of collaboration together. At the time, I approached Anne with the idea of creating a skin scent; a clean, wearable fragrance that would enhance the natural beauty of anyone who wears it. A scent for perfume wearers and non-perfume wearers alike. 

Anne studied perfumery in Grasse, the perfume capital of France, where she learned traditional techniques and methods that she uses to develop her fragrances. Together we sniffed hundreds of vials of pure ingredients, combining and blending until we had an idea of the scent. Anne then blended and refined the formula in a way only a true nose could do, creating the perfect olfactory composition.

 

Odette Eau de Parfum features a unique blend of Ambrette Seed, Rose, and Clear Musk designed to diffuse behind the wearer as they move creating a subtle glow of scent that lingers in the air. Using a clean formulation of high-quality ingredients, Odette Eau de Parfum is bottled and blended by hand in Brooklyn, NY. Formulated without: Parabens, Sulfates & Phthalates. Phosphate & gluten free. Cruelty free. Vegan.

The limited edition fragrance will be available for purchase on the Odette New York website and select retailers on September 3rd, 2023.
